IF YOU ARE A DEDICATED WAY OF LIFE PERSON, PLEASE READ WORKING GROUP NOTES BELOW
The NA Way of Life book has been written by members who wanted to see the Fellowship able to access and benefit from open, participatory style literature. We are committed to keeping faith with these members. We welcome all members to change, word, comment, participate in the writing of this work, we are not open to changing either the nature of the work, i.e. open, participatory, and not a fund raising piece of literary 'product' or our stated intent to act as custodians of the material. We try to avoid conflict and support NA in any way we can as members of NA. The NA Way of Life is a book being written by addicts, for addicts. We are neither interested in profit or personal agrandisement, we only want to be left to do our best with the help of our Loving God for the benefit of those who are seeking help in N.A. The NA Way of Life book will not be turned over to any outside group or corporation and will remain with the Fellowship forever. - Bo S. May 1998

NOTES TO WORKING GROUPS
Wouldn't it be nice if someone told you what was going on! Well, just for you, here it is. We are changing gears. Computer technology, vastly increased equipment and shear momentum have combined to push us forward. Take stock, and a fresh look at the 1999 version of the document, then send us your ideas, suggestions and commentaries
The following terms were used to develop the '99 Presentation Form and may be useful this year.
DRAFTS
To allow viewing, discussion, input and inclusion of the greatest possible amount of input, we are electing to post the material in progress to the world wide web. In this way, the boundaries of space and time are bridged and all who wish to do so can participate. This will not take place of open, participatory literature conferences, only enable a percentage of attending members to have the opportunity to familarize themselves with the material instead of working from a 'cold start' at a conference. Drafts can easily be named or numbers with comments embedded or bracketed as needed. They can also have portions color coded to draw reviewers attention to the crucial parts under discussion or consideration.
SPIRIT
All that we do is under the direct protection and control of our Higher Power. All are welcome to attend and participate, we have no plans to shut down our open, participatory process. We remain aware of the miraculous and blessed nature of how richly the God of our understanding is rewarding our prayers for strength and guidance.
PARTICIPATE
Get a group of members together, read and discuss the new writing. Form a meeting of the NA Foundation Group, the worldwide home group! We proceed on Faith.
