I would like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to Greg P. At the same time, I send thank you's to all the addicts (both the ones I know personally and all of those I have never met and those I will never meet) who have made the pathway of recovery a little smoother.
It saddened me greatly to hear of Greg's illness and it caused me to pause and recall some of his contributions to this Fellowship - The NA Tree, The IP "The Triangle of Self-Obsession", and his story in the Basic Text "I Was Unique" - to name only a few. I am sure that there are many more both large and small that others may recall.
For this baby in recovery, these shoes that may be empty soon seem awfully large and make me pause and reflect. We owe so much to all of those like Greg who loved us so much to give us so much for so long - it IS APPRECIATED although we forget to say THANK YOU.
If you know anyone else in recovery, who has contributed something special to your recovery - please take the time to say THANK YOU today. Don't wait until they can no longer hear and feel your love.
