I was sharing with a member celebrating three years after a long time trying to get clean in NA. I takes what it takes. Today, she has a six month old son and is a working single Mom.
We were talking about the old days - I have known her over twenty years - and how much better the program is now a days. She shared that with work and the child, she missed her third aniversary and someone called from her home group to remind her. Rather than criticizing her, they are just going to have the aniversary next week. The call inspired an attitude of checking with people I haven't seen for a while. I am very active in my NA life, but this would deal with a special dimension. It makes me grateful to see these things.
