nowhere do i see a discussion of the cultural imperialism inherent in our approach.this program(NA) was based on another.that program was written by upper middle class white males, for upper middle class white males there are values inherent here that many other cultures do not share. i question whether there can be a truly"universal program of recovery" give the disparity of cultural values. many cultures emphasize "fate" downplaying our conceps of personal responsibility.there are so many differences in cultural values that to catalog them would be fruitless. it may well be that only people with an essentially western world view can adopt this way of life.this is in essence part of why it is so difficult to translate our message into some languages. perhaps we should concentrate our efforts on those we can reach? for many to accept our solution would require a complete rewriting of the cultural map,an easy road to insanity. wellthese thoughts are in open, hope response's are thought out and not just the usual lockstep. inlovingservice gene s
