The thwarted intellectual entity inside screams, "Well, done! Excellent! Bravo!" I feel that this subject could keep that part of me entertained, distracted, and frustrated for quite some time. Entirely too long, if I'm not careful. I'm unfamiliar with the term 'lockstep' but considering the context I'm assuming it to mean the usual responses (cliches if you prefer).

The addict in me instantly responds to the question, "Is this message for everyone?" with a resounding, NO. The reality is that it is STILL only for those who want it. We already concentrate on carrying the message to "those we can reach" - "those being the ones who want it.

Perhaps, the problem lies in trying to reach and impress each individual in each culture. In other words, trying to be all things to all people. We are ONLY addicts who are learning that we can live life without consuming drugs and other outside mechanisms to cope - that is all we can give. I believe that the truth of that gift transcends culture, education, religious upbringings, sexual preferences, race, and last but certainly not least, gender.

How wonderful that the choice of involvement lies with the individual. If I had not seen and heard anything that I wanted, I wouldn't still be hanging around, would you? Maybe that's why "How It Works" starts off - "If you want what we have to offer . . ."

In Loving Service, Gayle
