I'm sure there are some people who do not celebrate their anniverseries. I have Known a few over the years who did not. However most of the people I have Known who didn't were loners who we seldom saw in the rooms. I have also known a few people who have had a few years clean and who relapsed who came back into the rooms, stayed clean, yet never picked up ANY chips or celebrated another anniversary. I don't think it has anything to do with staying clean but I do think it has a lot to do with working the program. It helps me to feel I belong. It also makes me a part of something bigger than myself. It shows newcomers that this program works for those who work it. But above all it is a celebration of LIFE!!! Our new lives!!! Just remember that this is and always will be a WE thing.
