Since day one in NA I have sought loopholes: seeming contradictions that were and are proof positive that I ought not seek my relief via the NA way. When you told me that NA was not a religious program, for example, then proceeded to pray to a Christian God, I became skeptical. It could have been the excuse I needed to head for the door.
Only a Goddess that I have come to know, possibly unlike the "father who art in heaven," has empowered me to ingore the lies I tell myself.
Open and close with the Serenity Prayer. Please don't give me another reason, however illogical, to convince me that I don't need you.
