Steve, I agree with you Steve on all that you wrote. I believe that new comers should know up front what the differences are between fellowships. I was a victim of the "Its all the same" when I was in a long term treatment facility 18 years ago. I still remember going to AA meetings in the mid 80's and trying to "just substitute the word Drugs for Alcohol" when at an AA meeting. It has now been 12 years since my relapse, and I KNOW IT'S NOT ALL THE SAME from personal experience. I find everything I need in the fellowship of NA. In my experience I have found that new comers who go to both fellowships get very closed minded when we try to explain why we believe NA is more inclusive and different from the other fellowships. It is usually because of the same brainwashing the treatment centers gave me. For me, I have found that if I have a little patience and a give a good detailed explanation in a soft spoken manner, it is easier for the new-comer to hear. We catch more flies with honey than we do with vinegar. Take care, be well Peace and Huggs, Richie
