Dear Jim,

Good to hear from you. I am going to try to speak past whatever strains and stresses may exist from the past. You have never been excluded from this process. There is no process that I know of at the world level. Kermit worked very hard on a sponsorship piece last year. I helped with that. We don't have any idea how it will go.

The reason we began, and the reason we continue, doing the NA Way of Life book in the manner we are is because we were not made welcome by the service structure that ultimately eliminated not only the word 'representative' from the world structure but also the Fellowship vote. If you can dig it, this should not in any way affect what happens between you and I. I did my best to explain in the Pledge statement that there was simply no way to go forward with the work as a free Fellowship piece without it being copyrighted. Without this copyright neither you nor I would have any say at all... So, in a sense, it is your copyright too.

I would encourage you to read the latest edits that were designed to root out some of the typos. You can still help with that. The book is still downloadable for free. We are up to page 120 or so out of 165. When we are done, we will send a fresh update into world services so they will know how we are doing and cut down on the rumors. You know while there is no profit incentive in this work at all, there are costs and we have to proceed with our resources. The book is in great shape and thanks for your part in helping the dream come true.

In Loving Service,

Bo S.
