First of all, we don't recommend getting a sponsor in this manner. We are not connected with or affiliated with any institution anywhere. Therefore, their requirement is a little baffling. Perhaps they have NA meetings where she is and that is how she is supposed to 'get' a sponsor. How do you choose a sponsor from a crowd of strangers? Get to know them over a period of time and find one you feel you can really trust. We do have what are called 'temporary sponsors' in some home groups.
A sponsor is a guide to principled living and the artificial 'getting' of a sponsor just to satisfy a treatment center goes beyond what is usually done in NA. While they probably mean well, your attempt to help will not fall on deaf ears. Perhaps someone viewing this page will respond to you by posting here or contacting you directly through your email. Sometimes it takes us years to get a real sponsor.
