Personality change occurs when we open up and receive new information that allows us to start moving in another direction with our daily lives. How we receive this information is more than simple literature, what we hear from other addicts and body language. Slogans are like mental short hand and help us make the shifts from one point of view on key subjects to another point of view. In NA, we have no authoritative hierarchy, we go with what we see working and slogans just happen to be a natural part of it all. Thanks for your question.
