Dear Fellow Members,
Freedom can be a wonderful thing but real freedom requires responsibility. While we know we are free to do this work and that our motives are clean and pure, we can expect others to project their images and basic motivations onto us. So, concern and dissention are inevitable. The strength of a new idea can be measured by the resistance it inspires.
We probably have a real good idea, especially if you measure it by the resistance it raises at times! It is important that as you become more informed than your Fellow Members, that you also develop the grace and social skills that can help you be effective and not merely intrusive or abrasively 'RIGHT'. That is not our goal.
By going our way in peace, confining our efforts to bettering the writing we are working on, and not getting drawn into side issues, we will let the writing in the NA Way of Life book speak for us. Ultimately, the book will have to be stout enough and well founded to bear this weight.
So, God Bless and Keep you safe, clean and happy as our story unfolds one more day at a time!
