We came to the Fellowship after admitting we were disease stricken Individuals whe were powerless over our addictions and that our lives had become unmanageable in that disease. This in turn led us straight into coming to believe in a power greater than ourselves that could restore us to sanity. My personal recovery took a major turn by simply breaking down the first three words of the second step. First, I came to the program, drug addicted, lost and confused. Secondly, I came to, gradually clearing the hazed cobwebs of my addiction from my head allowing my brain the opportunity to understand the hows and whys of How I had become so overwhelmingly powerless. Third, I came to believe that I was not my own higher power and that somewhere out there there was something that would help me make bring some sense and manageablility back into my life. Our addiction is incurable, but it is treatable. Faith without works is dead. If we believe in out Higher Power, In ourselves, and in the fellowship, it can and will work for all of us. May you take these simple principles, apply them in your life, and exceed your highest expectations one day at a time. Crystal B
