Whoever said the Lord's Prayer holds "religious" status? Yes, it is in the bible, but so is "God", and many recovering addicts choose to call their HP (including me), God. I came into recovery with no religious background but with a strong belief in spirituality. For me personally, I find great comfort in the Lord's prayer. Afterall, we are thanking our HP for our blessing of sobriety, asking him to reach into the lives of addicts, and asking him to take our will and our lives. This is essentially what the Lord's prayer is. Remember, honesty, willingness, openmindedness? With these we are well on our way. Let down the walls of the past and live for today. Laurinda B.
