One of the first things we realize in NA is that we are never alone. That in itself tells me no matter what has gone on, I can do this, because some else in my same condition has and is recovering. The honesty I feel in your words has inspired me to relate to the feeling I had when I thought I needed someone to hear me I mean really hear me. I soon found that I was not only heard before I spoke but the feelings I had were also known before I could relate them. We say this is a spiritual program because we understand a little more everyday the power "we" have and all we really had at one time was a "desire" to stop using. Thank you for reminding me.
