Dear Fellow Members,
It is with great joy that I mailed out the first two copies of the
new Form of our book to a member in Vermont. For the first time in a while
it occurred to me to look into making some hardbacks. My car blew out last month
and it knocked me back a bit. Soon as I recover financially, I will check it out.
The limitations of 'as cost' publishing is someone has to pay the price for you in advance.
Also, I listened to the history tapes presented on the NArchives.com (?) They were
interesting but it really seemed to me that they missed the point that NA grows when
members of informed and enabled to do what is required to expand the Fellowship by carrying our message.
When they are kept in the dark, they can do little to advance our cause generally. It is
terrific that they stay clean and carry our message. If Greg Pierce and Jimmy Kinnon hadn't been so
friendly and open to me, there would be no Basic Text because their fears would have blocked my interest
and involvement. Also, the role of individuals seems to be permanently blighted by the
inadequacies of members long dead who were unable to do more at the time. This limitation is bullshit.
If all individual efforts were flawed and tainted by 'personhood', then we would all be goners. Faith is recovery.
