Dear Fellow Members,

I sent out a request for cool NA links yesterday. I hope
those of you on [email protected] will respond. Or, just send ideas
to [email protected] This is more proper than sending to my personal address.

Daffodils are blooming here in Atlanta and I am so tired of waiting. The
deadening effects of my sleep apnea are wearing off quickly and I cannot believe we have let twenty
years slip by with so little done as a Fellowship. World Services has turned into a huge whirlpool that I am not
sure anyone can really control. Many good brothers and sisters have passed on, leaving tender memories but not much writing. How
is your dream quotient today?

Let's take time to scrub any remaining typos from the first twenty-six chapters. We are going through the Steps, Traditions and Principles but there doesn't seem to be so many errors.
While we are at it, we'll remove some of the old material from Outhouse (Policy section)and Chaulkboard (meant to be an idea bulletin board). We seem to get different kinds of posts on the
Quest Forum from the Bulletin Board. Our counters are still functioning one from the beginning at 38321 and the other for this year at 899 plus a few. There are no barriers to what we do here but our own lack of imagination. Please take time to give me suggestions
in order that we can gear up for a much larger crowd of NA members.

Some of the expectations have not turned out. The members in the early nineteen eighties flocked to the writing because it was the way out
of isolation and a very limited ability to carry our message. With the NA Way of Life, we seem to have members come, get involved and stay supportive though their active participation drops off. No telling how many serious supporters we have out there. I know hundreds of books have gone out over the last few years. An uncounted number of downloads of the whole book or individual chapters increase our presence beyond the net.
So, in effect, we have a very different situation today from twenty years ago and need to be up to date in our approaches. Probably no other single effort holds more promise for our Fellowship than the various growing efforts to establish our NA history. From my own experience, we have
had a tremendous volumne of heroic and inspiring efforts to build NA and not let the deadening effects of 'bigness' drag us down. Along with being the largest group of recoverying addicts in the history of the human race, we also have the tremendous benefits of being able to communicate accurately via the net, jumping over the boundaries of time and space. Really, it is like science fiction. So, let's dream realize and write some
brillant new NA history in what we do today and what we do this summer in my home town, Atlanta. Surely there will come no greater opportunity of assemble, meet together to discuss this book and new ideas for the worldwide Fellowship.

In Loving Service,

Bo S.
