I don't think your post was inappropriate at all, however, perhaps what you are seeking evaded some of us. Here in North Georgia, we have an Area that chooses NOT to participate in the Structure. At least on the level of Region. Like your Group, our Area was singled out by our Region not to be included on the Regional Meeting Schedule simply because we were not complying to "Regional Policies." We are OK with that. We simply by- passed that particular level of Service. We contact World Services and register all of our Groups through them. Any upper level donations we need to make also by-passes that level of Service. We created our own Meeting Schedules, operate our own help line, and created our own H&I; and PI sub-committees to deal with our local community.
We did not seek nor do we require permission or validation from any phase of our Service Structure in order to carry out Group Conscience or to carry the Message of Recovery to the still suffering Addict. I would like to point out that World Services seems to have far less of a problem with our Groups than does the "personalities" controlling our Region. We also have our own Web-Site, which can be accessed through several other Recovery sites, or by going to www.extremena.org. Check us out. All it takes is two Recovering Addicts to change the world.
