The issue of the Lord's Prayer has come up many times over the years. I believe that Bill W. answered that question along time ago in one of his writings. While it is true that the 12 steps as we know them, originated from groups with Christian leanings. This was solved in the third step by the addition of GOD, as we understood Him, in the 3rd step. Bill, later wrote that while the prayer has Christian beginnings, that which we pray about could be prayed by any religious groups. Meaning, there is nothing harmful in the prayer. All religions that pray to a higher power, aspire to the love, guidance and protection that we ask for in the Lord's Prayer. The idea should be that first there must be a harm, there is no harm here.
