Hi Tom, Good to hear from you again. It seems that you still haven't been willing to do any of that "homework" we suggested for you. That's OK. We are still working on the book. And as far as I know nobody has become rich or famous by holding the copyright. By the way you can still download it FREE OF CHARGE! I wonder how long you would be able to do that if World Services were holding the copyright. I hear that they are making people take down all Lit. off the web that they hold the copyright on. Seems if they can't SELL IT then nobody can use it. Tom you seem like a very dedicated member. I personaly talked with a few of the members who got so angry once the book was copyrighted. They made no bones obout the fact that they wanted the book given to World Services (NO STRINGS ATTACHED) Do you know what it cost to print a Basic Text? Around $3.00! What did you pay for the last one you purchased? We have NA Members at WSO who are being payed well over $60.000.00 a year.(FACT) I have newcomers who can't even afford food much less $10.00 for a book that was GIVEN to the FELLOWSHIP by addicts who cared enough to write it. And what I see is NA Members who have forgoten where they came from earning a very good living off the backs of the addict who is still suffering by means of a book that was NEVER INTENDED to be their personal property. Is this what you want to have happen to the Way of Life? Because that is just where it was headed had the Book not been copyrighted in SOMEONES NAME! There is NO QUESTION OF IT! Arrangemente between the office and certain members were being ironed out at that time and to avoid the same mistake that was made with our Basic Text it had to be copyrighted. If You don't trust the person we have holding the copyright then I suggest you help us to find a better way of protecting the book. Many of us are working on it untill it has reached it's final form then we will place the copyright in a Trust set up for fellowship use only. Do the legwork Tom. Don't sit around stewing in some imaginary wrong un-willing to look any deeper than the horseshit on top of the pile.
