Hi Gayle, Could you be more specific about your post. I went to the web site as you suggested and did not find anything like what you said. Perhaps you misunderstood what you were reading, as the RD's have not yet voted on the motions in the CAR. I can tell you as an RDa myself, that we vote as our Regions direct us to vote. We do not decide how to vote on the motions in the Conference Agenda Report(CAR. We only carry out the wishes of the Region. That is why we spend almost 5 months attending and hosting CAR Workshops; so each NA member has the opportunity to learn about the motions, and then make a decision at their Home Group business meeting as to how their particular group will vote on each motion. Those votes are then carried to the Area Service Committee, where they are tabulated. After counting all the Group Votes on each motion, the Area will carry the results to the Regional Service committee. At the Regional meeting, each Area result is counted and the Region will direct the RD to vote on each motion according to the results of the votes. It is not at the discretion of the RD to arbitrarily change the vote. If an RD has expressed a plan for voting contrary to what the Region has directed, by all means let us all know, so steps can be taken immediately to have the RD removed from the position we have entrusted to him or her. Please don't forget to direct me to the exact statements you were referring to on the WSC BB. Thanks so much, Richie S.
